Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient form of touch therapy, has proved beneficial in reducing the pain and nausea experienced by cancer patients. A recent study presented at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center Research Day, showed that 159 patients felt considerable improvement in their symptoms after the treatment. This therapy is offered free of charge to all cancer patients at the UK Markey Cancer Center. Treatment includes light touch on 52 energetic points on the body in a specific order, known as “flows.” The American Cancer Society encourages interventions such as this which positively impact quality of life for patients.
