Our consultation services may or may not be covered by your insurance plan. Please check with your insurance prior to your visit. We do not contract with any insurance companies and would be considered out of network. Our office does not bill your insurance directly, but we will give you a receipt for services, which you may submit for reimbursement. We are not a participating provider in Medicaid or Medicare.
Initial Consultations
Expect to spend 2-3 hours at the office for your initial visit, including check-out time. You will spend 90 minutes face-to face with our practitioners. The consult fee includes time spent before and after your visit for our providers to review any past lab work and all paperwork and intake forms. Follow-up visits usually last 30-60 minutes depending on complexity and time to review lab work.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require a minimum notice of 2 business days to cancel your appointment and receive a refund on your consultation fee or reschedule your consultation for another date and time. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment or provide notice to change that appointment time within 2 business days, you will be charged a $200 cancellation fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. This helps ensure that we can meet the needs of all of our patients, who are waiting to get an appointment. Please call or email during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, if you need to make a change to your appointment.
Prescription Policy
**Please allow 5 business days to refill a prescription from your provider at Holistica.**
It takes time on our end and then time on the pharmacy’s end to fill your prescription, plus time for it to be shipped to you. This time is increased if it is called to an out-of-state pharmacy. There is no such thing as an “emergency refill prescription.” We cannot rush an order through the pharmacy. This requires that you contact our office no later than one week before your prescription is about to expire. Please take the following steps to ensure you receive your prescription on time:
- Call your pharmacy when you need a refill.
- They will contact us for refill approval.
- Holistica providers will assess whether you need blood work or a consultation before the refill. Note: Testosterone prescriptions require an appointment with your provider every 6 months.
- Holistica will send refill requests to the pharmacy.
- Your pharmacy will call you or ship your prescription to you.
We often receive urgent requests for a refill, such as forgetting to take a medication on vacation, and we do charge a fee for those requests. Please note our fee schedule below:
- Urgent request (requiring a refill <48 hours)- $35
- Non-urgent refill request and not overdue for a visit – refills until you are due for your next appointment.
- Non-urgent refill request and OVERDUE for an appointment – courtesy 30 day refill.
- Non-urgent refill 2nd request and OVERDUE for an appointment – $35 for 15 day refill
- Non-urgent refill 3rd request and OVERDUE for an appointment – $35 for 3 days.
