The University of Granada Department of Experimental Psychology in Spain recently conducted a study to determine if there’s a scientific explanation for people who claim to be able to see the auras of others. They discovered that many with healing abilities present the neuropsychological phenomenon called “synesthesia.” According to the study, “…synesthesia is due to cross-wiring in the brain…synesthetes present more synaptic connections than ‘normal’ people.” Researchers believe some people have the ability to connect more deeply with others, but suggest a “placebo effect” is more likely.
